Alexandra finds a quiet rhythm in the overlooked. Her work is an act of noticing—seeing beauty in simple spaces that otherwise might be passed by.
At age twelve, Alexandra attended her first photography course at the International Center of Photography. An assignment — to document the world from the perspective of a worm, a dog and a human — continues to inform her eye decades later.
As a math teacher, Alexandra finds herself drawn to patterns, repetitions, and relationships. Her photography uncovers order, beauty, and fun in these unexpected connections.
Alexandra studied with Joel Meyerowitz and attended workshops at the Center for Photography at Woodstock, Maine Media Workshops and the ICP. She holds a B.A. from Williams College.
